William Wordsworth
(1770-1850)

William Wordsworth, a founder of the romantic movement, was one of the most important and original English poets. He was renown for his nature poetry. In his Lyrical Ballads published in 1789, he said his aim is "to choose incidents and situations from common life...in a selection of language really used by men."

His poetry lives on, because the emotional power of his poems continues to touch "the essential passions of the heart."

She was a Phantom of Delight

She Dwelt Among the Untrodden Ways
A touching love poem about a man's adoration for a woman.  Send it to your lover and let her know how special she is.
