Robert Herrick
(1591-1674)

Robert Herrick was one of England's Cavalier poets.  He wrote approximately 1,300 short musical lyrics, which were collected and published in "Hesperides" in 1648.  Many of his poems were inspired by the English countryside.

To the Virgins, Make Much of Time
Though serious in Herrick's day, this poem is humorous to the modern reader, and it will make your lover smile. And what a way to persuade someone that it's time to take your vows.

Sweet Disorder
A very sensual poem about the erotic appeal of certain garments. Send this poem to your lover along with a note about what you want them to wear tonight. You're sure to have a surprise waiting when you get home.
